BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Bell Semiconductor has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in opposition to laptop chipmaker Micron Technological know-how.

The lawsuit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court docket contends that Boise, Idaho-based mostly Micron is using devoid of authorization a process for creating semiconductor products designed and patented by Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based mostly Bell Semiconductor.

Bell Semiconductor is a technological know-how and mental home licensing corporation. The patent cited in the lawsuit includes a layering process for fabricating semiconductor equipment that has permitted the units to become smaller, significantly raising their efficiency.
